How to clean Roofinox stainless steel?

Roofinox stainless steel is easy to clean. Depending on the degree of pollution different cleaning options exist.

The natural cleansing effect of rainwater is generally sufficient. If not pressure washers can be used applying fresh water and keeping enough distance to prevent damaging the panels, joints, or water penetration through seams. Additionally the process can be enhanced with a mild soap sud. It is important not to apply cleaning agents containing chlorides or other aggressive substances.

The removal of fingerprints is best done with customary degreasing brake cleaners. For larger surfaces acid-free cleaning oils work well. Please consider manufacturers’ instructions.

Make sure sponges, cloth, and cleansers do not contain scouring components, these could scratch the surface. For Roofinox tin-plated this could even remove the tin layer. If you feel insecure or uncertain or need additional information, do not hesitate to contact us. Roofinox tin-plated is explicitly excluded from these cleaning instructions – the tin layer could face mechanical damage (see technical datasheet for more information).
