About HFX stainless from ROOFINOX
As a material for roofs and facades, HFX stainless from ROOFINOX is nothing less than the evolution of the building envelope. It has been specially developed for use on the building envelope. Unbeatable in durability, practically maintenance-free, protects the environment - and you live in peace of mind for decades. HFX stainless fulfils the highest aesthetic demands and retains its beautiful appearance for generations.
In the European Alpine region, where weather conditions are the most difficult, stainless steel is the favoured material for roofs because it withstands the conditions best. It is not for nothing that stainless steel is one of the most widely used materials in the Alpine region.
After all, it is at an altitude of 2,000 metres and above that the stresses and strains are greatest: storms, hail, ice, foehn winds, snow and strong sunlight demand maximum performance. HFX stainless from ROOFINOX is made for just that.
This remarkable collection of positive properties explains the increasing popularity of HFX stainless as a material for ventilated facades and roofing. HFX stainless from ROOFINOX for roofing and guttering has a tradition of over 30 years.
ROOFINOX - The epitome of durability
In fact, HFX stainless from ROOFINOX is the epitome of durability - just think of the famous pointed roof of the Chrysler Building, which was completed in 1930 and is still gleaming. The predecessor of ROOFINOX HFX stainless was used here.
ROOFINOX - At the forefront of sustainability
ROOFINOX HFX stainless already protects our planet during production: With the smallest CO2 footprint on the market, and a composition of more than 90% recycled material, there is hardly a material that has less impact on the environment.
The material itself is 100% recyclable at the end of its service life. You leave an impeccable legacy for the next generation.
HFX stainless from ROOFINOX is the evolution of the building envelope. Like no other.
For those who want to know exactly: How does HFX stainless work?
ROOFINOX HFX stainless is a stainless steel that has been specially developed for roofs and facades. This means that it has certain properties that make it easier to use and process on the building envelope. For example, it is softer than conventional stainless steel or easier to solder and it comes as a complete system with a catalogue of over 4000 items for all areas of application.
HFX stainless owes its corrosion resistance to a chemical reaction: caused by the chromium content in the HFX stainless alloy in combination with the oxygen in the air or water, a wafer-thin passive layer forms on the surface.
This layer repels aggressive substances and ensures that ROOFINOX HFX stainless does not rust on its own. Due to rare external influences, this passive layer may be interrupted and the HFX stainless steel may start to rust. However, this is not a problem if the rust is removed by suitable means. HFX stainless steel then reveals its true strength: once the aggressive medium has been professionally cleaned and moistened with water, the passive layer forms again from the matrix of the steel within hours. HFX stainless is therefore fully operational again without any loss of quality. Further details and background information can be obtained directly from us. The corrosion resistance is primarily due to the chromium content. An increase in corrosion resistance can be achieved by adding nickel and molybdenum, but also other alloying elements. Today, there are a large number of stainless steel grades that are customised in specific alloy variants for special applications.
