Is stainless steel also available in flexible?
ROOFINOX is the inventor of HFX stainless technology. We are an Austrian manufacturer and the only complete supplier of roof and facade systems. Like no other.
HFX stainless steel is highly flexible stainless steel and has been specially developed for craftsmen. The CLASSIC design, for example, is 35% more flexible than competitor products. Find out why here.
ROOFINOX began developing a highly flexible stainless steel over 30 years ago. The result is HFX stainless, which is noticeably more flexible and non-reflecting while retaining the proven advantages of stainless steel (rustproof, stronger, more durable).

How can the flexibility or malleability of metals be compared?
The force required for a material sample to deform or, in other words, begin to stretch can be determined by applying tension - this parameter is called the yield point or yield strength. The following graph compares the yield strengths of different stainless steel samples.
This flexibility or malleability of HFX stainless is achieved during the manufacturing process through a modified production sequence and additional processing steps such as stress relief annealing. At the same time, the usual strength of HFX stainless is retained, making it particularly suitable for withstanding all weathers.
The big difference lies in the detail. Only a direct comparison of the mechanical properties provides clarity.
Find out in a personal meeting what you should pay attention to when deciding on materials. This will help you to avoid undesirable results and complaints.
To experience the quality of our products and surfaces, we will be happy to send you a sample folder with original sample sheets.
From Austria - the better alternative
ROOFINOX is the Austrian manufacturer of the only complete stainless steel system for roofs and facades. Like no other.
The following 9 properties show some of the differences between HFX stainless, conventional stainless steel and other construction metals. At the same time, these properties are the main reasons why HFX stainless is perceived as a better alternative.
